This selection covers only the open-water segment of the PADI Open Water Diver course. Before you begin, you must complete both the PADI Open Water Diver e-Learning module (sold separately) and the Confined-Water Dives 1–5, including all associated performance requirements.
In this open-water section, you’ll complete four instructor-led dives over two days—putting your skills to the test in real ocean conditions under the guidance of your PADI instructor.
Who Can Take This Course?
Minimum age 10
(10–14 year-olds earn a Junior Open Water Diver referral; full Open Water Diver at age 15)Completed paperwork
Liability Release & Assumption of Risk, Standard Safe Diving Practices Statement of Understanding, and Diver Medical Form
Gear Requirements
Personal gear: Students must bring their own dive mask and dive booties—these items are highly personal for fit and comfort.
Provided gear: All other equipment is included (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, fins, tanks, weights).
