The Night Diver Specialty teaches you how to safely and confidently explore the ocean in the dark, where familiar dive sites transform into an entirely different environment. You’ll learn proper light-handling techniques, nighttime navigation, communication skills, and how to manage the unique challenges—and excitement—of diving at night.
PADI or SDI Open Water Diver certification
(or equivalent)
Minimum age 12
Personal gear: Students must bring or purchase their own dive mask, snorkel, and dive boots — these items are highly personal for fit and comfort. We offer a student gear package which includes a mask, snorkel, boots, and fins that are yours to keep after certification. Contact us for more details.
Provided gear: All other equipment is included (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, fins, tanks, weights).

One to two days of diving, completing three night training dives!
Once certified, you’ll earn your Night Diver Specialty card, giving you the skills and confidence to explore the underwater world after dark—when marine life, behavior, and the entire dive site transform into something most divers never get to experience.
